But how well does it compares to Samsung Foldable which is the industry standard right now for a foldable phone.

Oppo has come up with latest technologies like – Enhanced Signal Reception, Most Powerful AI Image Generation and Better Integration with Apple Ecosystem.

What’s in the Box?

Oppo claims the Find N5 as “world slimmest book style foldable“. Oppo Find N5 comes with custom aluminium alloy frame which keep it light weight at 230gms that is as equal to iPhone 16 Pro Max. The hinges are smooth and more natural and also allows flexible positioning. It’s also 30% thinner than Samsung’s Foldable with lesser crease visibility.

Oppo Find N5 front display screen comes with ceramic which actually helps in its structural strength .

Oppo Find N5 comes with better water resistance with IPX6, IPX8, and IPX 9 certifications, although it does not comes with official dust resistance certification.

Battery

Oppo uses a brand new type of battery on Find N5. The Oppo Find N5 comes with Silicon Carbon Battery with highest silicon content at 10%, the maximum we have ever seen. Samsung Foldable comes with traditional Lithium Ion battery.

Within less space, Oppo managed to squeeze in a bigger 5600 MAH capacity battery compared to Samsung’s 4400 mAH capacity battery.

Samsung Foldable takes around 90 minutes to fully charge whereas Find N5 takes about 40 minutes – all that while being a slimmer phone with a bigger battery.

Find N5 also has wireless with 50W compared to Samsung which comes with only 15W.

Screen

While the Samsung is heavily considered as an industry standard when it comes to screens, Oppo Find N5 has done a commendable job on it’s Find N5 Screen which boasts 412 internal and 431 cover pixel density compared to Samsung Foldable’s 374 Internal and 410 Cover Pixel Density.

All this with while being almost creaseless Oppo does feels natural for typing and other usage, almost as similar to iPhone 16 Pro Max. it won’t make you feel like you are carrying a third leg in your pocket (fourth for hung ones – pun intended).

Performance

Oppo Find N5 is powered by Next Gen Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip as opposed to Samsung’s 8th Gen 3 which has resulted in being 30% faster than Samsung.

The Stress test also observed 50% faster than Samsung.

While all these percentage digits wouldn’t be as noticeable in your every day to day scrolling, it comes down to tasks like how fast the app opens or loads, how fast the camera shutter captures the picture or the image processing once the picture is taken.

All these tasks fairly performs compared to Samsung Foldable.

Software and Features

Oppo Find N5 comes with what Oppo calls “File Dock” which basically is like clipboard for files. You drag a file or image or anything for your interest (of course whatever is compatible) , then it stays in the File Dock from which you can drag it out and drop it elsewhere.

Oppo O+ Connect let’s you transfer files seamlessly from Android to iPhone without WiFi.

Oppo Find N5 AI Features

Find N5 comes with “Enchanced Clarity” which improves your photos quite significantly with all the details.

The AI Studio converts your images into some fun stuff.

The Flagship feature is “Link Boost”, a 360 degree antenna system powered by AI to improve signal reception by 30% in weaker areas.

Oppo Find N5 AI Features

As the tech gets thinner and thinner, speakers looses it’s real estate for more air to push to create the sound. That’s quite the case here although Oppo has don’t fairly well with it’s design and sound enhancement systems but it’s not up to the comparison with Samsung Foldable when it comes to sound richness.

Oppo Find N5 AI Features

Oppo has majorily compromised on Camera to reach their thinner goals.

The camera module is 40% slimmer. Oppo pictures are decent although you will find Samsung’s pictures true to colours whereas Oppo has crunchy, contrasty looks.

The camera comes with 8MP camera compared to Samsung’s 12MP which is a massive resolution gap which doesn’t look fit in 2025.

Oppo has impressive front camera with a better zoom. Both have 3 times optical zoom, although Oppo’s 3 times zoom camera is 50MP compared to Samsung’s 10.

Oppo Find N5 Drawbacks

Oppo Find N5 comes pre installed and recommended apps which is a major turn off especially for premium phones

You get 4 years of Android software upgrades compared to Samsung’s 7 years.

Final Take

Being the slimmest foldable phone right now with a faster, more advance chip, the latest AI tech and features, Oppo Find N5 will suit your need. If longer software updates and better software experience, then Samsung Foldable still holds up even in 2025.
